Whenever possible, we strive to source locally grown, seasonal, organic produce and locally raised meats, supporting our local farmers while providing you with the freshest ingredients available.
Please note that locally sourced and organic products often carry a higher cost than standard grocery store items. If you prefer traditional grocery selections from stores such as Zehrs, Food Basics, FreshCo, or Walmart, simply let us know and we'll happily shop according to your preferences. Otherwise, we'll select the freshest local and premium ingredients available for your stay.

When available, we invite your taste buds to experience The Old Stone Table—a unique opportunity to enjoy thoughtfully prepared home-cooked meals in a beautiful countryside setting. Featuring seasonal ingredients, local flavours, and warm farm hospitality, each meal is designed to be as memorable as your stay.
As this is a special offering and not available year-round, we encourage guests to take advantage of the experience whenever it is being offered.
Menus and pricing will be provided in your trailer upon arrival. Breakfast selections must be reserved the evening before, while dinner selections must be reserved by 11:00 a.m. on the day of service.

This hands-on session provides a wonderful introduction to horsemanship in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Miniature horses offer all the joy and learning of working with full-sized horses in a smaller, less intimidating package.
You will learn:

Ever wondered what it's really like to own horses and operate a small farm? Join us for a hands-on day at Old Stone Farm and experience the daily routines, responsibilities, and rewards of life with miniature horses. From sunrise chores to evening feeding, you'll work alongside us and our miniature horses while learning the fundamentals of horsemanship and farm life.
Your Day May Include:
🌅 7:00 a.m. – Rise & Shine
Start your day bright and early as we begin the morning feeding routine for the horses.
🍳 Farm Breakfast
After the horses have been fed, it's your turn to enjoy a hearty farmhouse breakfast.
🐴 Morning Horse Care
Learn the daily responsibilities involved in caring for horses, including:• Bringing horses in and turning them out • Stall cleaning and bedding management • Watering and feeding routines • Basic farm chores
🪢 Hands-On Horsemanship
Spend time working directly with the horses while learning:• Horse safety and handling • Haltering and leading • Grooming and brushing • Hoof picking and basic hoof care • Bathing and presentation • Obstacle and confidence training
🍽️ Lunch Break
At approximately 1:00 p.m., the horses come in for lunch and so do you. Enjoy a relaxing lunch and some well-earned downtime.
☀️ Afternoon Free Time
Take time to relax, explore the farm, enjoy your luxury glamping retreat, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings.
🌿 4:00 p.m. – Afternoon Chores
As the horses head back out to pasture, you'll assist with afternoon turnout and stall preparation for the evening.
🥕 Harvest Season Bonus
During harvest season, guests may have the opportunity to pick fresh herbs and vegetables directly from the garden for use in the evening meal.
🍽️ 7:00 p.m. – The Old Stone Table
As the horses settle in for the night, enjoy a delicious home-cooked farm dinner served on the patio while reflecting on your day of farm life.
